Real Raise

Conventional wisdom on getting a raise is all the stuff you have read or heard in the past.

You know what I’m talking about. Every once in a while the newspaper will come up with a syndicated article on getting a raise. Or there will be a chapter or a couple of pages in a career oriented book.

And most of it is crap.

It’s kind of like one guy wrote up ‘getting-a-raise strategies’ a long time ago and everyone just keeps copying that drivel and spreading it around some more.
